About the role
The Account Manager is a role within the Sales and Marketing team reporting into the regional General Manager. The primary focus of the role is to be an ambassador of the Narratiive dashboard. Your focus will be to deliver as much value as possible to our existing clients by ensuring their needs are proactively met through excellent customer service.
You will actively engage with your customers during the sales and delivery process, including supporting implementation and providing on-boarding and training. You will visit clients, conduct business reviews, and foresee upcoming opportunities. You will anticipate issues before they arise and be a key contact in the escalation of any issues that do occur.

You'll be supported with coaching and development as you strive to learn and improve your knowledge and skills.

Key Responsibilities
To ensure all existing Narratiive customers are adequately trained in using the Narratiive dashboard
Being a trusted advisor and account manager to your customer portfolio
Being an advocate for clients to drive successful on-boarding, day-to-day dashboard usage and product renewals
Training and supporting clients to adopt our dashboard upgrades and new product offerings
Collaborating with clients to feed requirements into the business
Preparing and presenting client status reports to the Exec team
Preparing monthly dashboard status reports which provide additional insights and explanations to outlying data
Owning and managing customers' annual account renewals

Key Activities
Liaise with customers on the product roadmap and future strategy of the business
Support further expansion into each account including up-selling and cross-selling services and introducing new services and capabilities
Conduct business reviews to identify any areas of growth and hold regular meetings with clients
Visit customers at their offices (this may include travel)
Close out projects, issues, training as well as being a subject matter expert and consulting with customers around best practice
Communicate invoice requirements and follow up with accounts payable / aged receivables conversations
Assist and support the GM where needed in growing the business in South Africa and expanding into Sub Saharan Africa

Skills
A strong technical understanding of digital advertising and in particular programmatic display advertising
Confident with analysing data and picking up trends
Strong presentation skills
Ability and confidence to conduct training sessions
Strong written skills
Strong customer service and account management
Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and any web-based service like HubSpot, Slack, etc.
