Job Description

We are creating an internal User Experience team which will be responsible for driving the adoption of User Centred Design principles throughout the company.

As a UX/Interaction Designer you will be creating end to end user experiences and working across all of the digital touch points along the user journeys, to ensure that Clients experience an optimised user journey, which is targeted to their persona.

The team structure will be comprised of UX/Interaction Designers, UI Designers and Front end Developers. As a team we will be prototyping next generation ideas and working with various development teams across the business to implement them.

Responsibilities

 


  • Create differentiating and future thinking user journeys and interactive prototypes across multiple digital touch points - including web, tablet, mobile
  • Ensure that an end-product design meets the core business objectives, while providing users with the optimum experience in terms of efficiency, effectiveness and engagement.
  • Creating 'user experience' which are as efficient as possible and intuitive, not requiring training or external help to utilise.
  • Design word class interfaces and interactions with deep focus on balancing people needs, business drivers and technical possibilities
  • Keep abreast with latest industry developments, technical innovation and digital best practise that deliver ground breaking concepts, benchmarking and best practise
  • Communicate visual concepts both on paper and using software applications like Invison, Sketch or Axure
  • Partner with stakeholder to re-design websites to make them responsive
  • Create mobile apps or mobile web apps, that are easy to use and are configured appropriately for smartphones and tablets

 

Skills


  • Requirements Capture and Synthesis - Using a variety of techniques to understand and synthesise user and business requirements. These techniques can include, user interviews, Usability testing and paper prototype workshops.
  • Benchmark Analysis - Ability to look at what are the trends in the market and how what we are doing compares to industry trends.
  • Persona Development - Ability to understand the users of our websites, portals and applications and develop personas to guide the design process.
  • Customer Journey Mapping - mapping the end to end user journeys and identifying pain points and opportunities to delight clients.
  • Wireframing - Ability to create wireframes to help communicate and solidify concepts and ideas to guide the development team.
  • understand how to use specialist software such as Axure, Sketch and the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Creation of interactive prototypes demonstrating interactive ideas and to test usability
  • Good work ethic and accountability.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good communication skills (especially with remote work).
