Social Media Customer Engagement Specialist

Getclosure assists businesses to manage their reputations online. The business provides social media monitoring, engagement, and analysis services to leading South African companies.

Getclosure is looking for a Social Media Customer Engagement Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring social media platforms on a daily basis to respond to and resolve customer complaints and enquiries. They will work as part of a team and must be prepared to learn and make a positive contribution to their team.

We are looking for a team player with a strong understanding of social media platforms, and previous experience in social media customer engagement or social media community management.


  • Previous experience in social media customer engagement/community management;
  • Tertiary education – diploma or degree:
  • Communication skills – oral and written;
  • Aptitude for problem-solving;
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms – Twitter, Facebook, Instagram & YouTube;
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint;
  • Weekend and after hours work
  • Customer service experience
  • Applicant must live in Cape Town.
