Analyse user requirements, design, implement and support a variety of complex technical systems.


  • 3 year IT Diploma or Degree
  • 3 -5 years programming/analyst programming experience in the Oracle domain (SQL, PLSQL, Unix etc)
  • Solid Oracle Apex experience will be a key
  • Web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and related technologies exposure advantageous
  • Retail Industry experience is an advantage
  • Exposure to scheduling systems such as Control-M, AppWorx also an advantage
  • Specific analysis and development skills
  • Project management methodology
  • Relevant business process context knowledge

Job Specification

  • Interpret basic user requirements and translate into systems design.
  • Integrate with business process analyst or systems analyst in order to develop systems specifications from process specifications.
  • Evaluate and recommend alternative system solutions.
  • Design and code complex programmes from specifications.
  • Develop test plans and perform unit, systems and integration testing
  • Investigate and solve complex systems issues across areas
  • Ensure systems documentations is kept up to date
  • Implement approved changes as per change control and security process
  • Maintain and support existing systems
  • Understanding and adherence to source control and release management principles
  • Knowledge-share engagement and feedback sessions to the team
