Key Account Executive

An exciting opportunity exists with massive growth prospects to work across the brand ecosystem within a subsidiary of one of Africa's largest retailer groups. Develop the Brand Digital, social content and ATL strategies through evolving and continuously optimising the digital marketing and promotion plan for the company within not only South Africa, but also other African countries. My client is looking for a Marketing Promoter Manager to be based in Johannesburg to join the team in a rapidly changing digital landscape.

The main purpose of the position is to maintain existing Client / Venue Managements business relationships and to sign up new clients and to liaise with stakeholders, manage all related Client sales queries.


  • BA/ BCom Degree; Proven work experience as an Account Executive 2- 3 Years
  • Experience selling in a high-performance sales team 2-3 Years
  • An ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics 2-3 Years


  • Computer Literacy (MS office) 3 years
  • Negotiation Skills 2-3 years
  • Lead Generation 2-3 years
  • Project management 2-3 years

The main objective of the job will be to grow the Company client base, new business opportunities and increase turnover to accomplish my Client`s mission and strategy whilst maintaining existing Client portfolio allocation.

1 -To monitor sales contracts and agreements

- Negotiate and close agreements with all Clients

- Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with Clients' needs

2 -To maintain existing client relationships

- Establish productive and professional relationships with key Client personnel

- Arrange Box Office sales on day of event or various festivals by briefing the Box Office team on requirements

3 -To attract new clients and re-negotiate with clients that were previously on our books to get back the business

- Develop and implement effective sales strategies

- Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities

- To maintain a relationship with clients that have left the business so we can bring back their business

- To be up to date with the competitors and the market trends so we can stay abreast and create a leap-frog effect.

4 - Re-negotiate with Clients who have left and gone to other Ticket companies

- Liaise with ex-client's and determine what can be done to obtain their business again

- Stay up-to-date with new developments within my Client to present to past Client's

5 -Assist with Marketing for Clients using my Client's in house marketing department

- To brief the Marketing department on new client's and their event(s).

- Provide my Clients in-house Marketing department with requirements for campaigns and strategies Client's wish to make use of

6 -To oversee and project manage larger events and oversee that all facets related to the ticketing are carried though correctly.

- Assist with the planning of all ticketing requirements (marketing, ticket sales, box office and overall ticketing requirements before and on event days for Client.

- To oversee and project manage the various departments involved in Client's event(s) by ensuring that all the necessary parameters are completed in order to maintain the successful ticketing of the Client's event(s)
