Marketing Assistant

at Recruit Digital in Newlands

Our client is one of the leaders of express logistics in South Africa, which multiple branches covering almost every aspect of transport logistics, and they are looking for a driven Marketing Assistant to join their team and grow with them. You would be reporting in to the Marketing Manager and work from their offices in Cape Town Southern Suburbs.

What will I do?

In this position you will have 4 core responsibilities; social media, sales support and marketing admin, lead generation, and market analysis.

Social Media


  • Management of social media content, including updating and posting across social media platforms.
  • Advertising the client brand across social media channels.
  • Managing all social media pages, importantly including community management. You will act as the first point of contact for complaints and escalate them to the relevant parties.
  • Track and create monthly social media reports.

Sales Support / Marketing Administration


  • Manage all written content and sales collateral (such as training manuals, brochures, tenders, customer communications, etc.)
  • Procuring and ordering all sales collateral.
  • Managing email signatures and business cards.
  • Formulating presentations for sales teams to pitch.
  • Up keeping the sales intranet for the company.
  • Updating company website regularly.

Lead Generation


  • Search for, analyse, and qualify potential leads for sales staff.

Competitor/Market Analysis


  • Research, analyse, and document the competition and various market happenings/statistics within the sphere the company operates in.
  • Present findings and assist in using this information to help or advise the business.

What do I need?


  • Tertiary qualification related to marketing.
  • Be literate in MS Office.
  • Skilled in MS PowerPoint and/or Apple KeyNote.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and eager to help the team around you from important to ‘everyday’ tasks.
  • Proactive, eager, and driven to grow in the business, and your own skills.
  • Resilient and able to handle pressure.
  • Eager to prove yourself and offer new creative ideas.
